All residents are invited to join us in a community clean up. Participants will have a chance to win a $500 donation to a local, registered charity of their choice.

The Town of Carbonear will be conducting water main flushing starting September 14, 2020 September 14-23:  (Areas West of the Community Centre and north of Island Pond Brook) September 24- October 5 (St Clare Ave and areas between Chapel Hill and Crocker's Cove) October 6 October 14 (Southside of Carbonear including Powell Drive to Saddle Hill.  Also, Pondside Road and London Road including connecting streets and Forest Road).  

In 2003, the Newfound Riders motorcycle riding club established a memorial ride from St. John’s to Carbonear to honour the death of former Newfoundland Constabulary officer, Samuel Jeffers, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident while on duty in St. John’s in the 1950s. Eastern Waste Management in partnership with the Town of Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection on September 26, 2020 at the Regional Community Centre Parking Lot

A reminder to residents that the bulk collection is schedule to take place as follows: September 30 - Carbonear (East of Bunker's Hill) Residents must have items curbside/roadside by 7 a.m. on the day collection begins. It may take a number of days for bulk items to be collected from all residences.
