Equipment will be sold on an “as is, where is” basis with no warranties applicable. HST will be applied to the successful bid. Interested bidders can obtain a tender form by emailing [email protected].

Terms of the tender form shall not be altered by bidders. Alterations, edits, additional clauses, etc shall cause the tender to be not accepted.

The preferred bidder will be the bidder with the greatest amount. If multiple bids are received for the same amount a coin toss will take place to determine the preferred bidder.

Sealed tenders will be received at the Town Office, 256 Water Street, Carbonear, until 2:00 p.m., Friday, 4 July 2025.

Bidders shall submit a $250 certified cheque with their bid. The bid securities will be returned to all bidders upon closing the sale with the preferred bidder. If the preferred bidder withdraws their bid after tender close, then the preferred bidder will be disqualified and their bid security forfeit. The sale will move to the next preferred bidder.

Equipment may be viewed at the CVFD Fire Hall on Bannerman Street, Carbonear, 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday until the tender closing date, by appointment.

The Town of Carbonear does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender. The Town reserves a minimum bid threshold of $8,000 before taxes.
