Annual Christmas Tree Collection and Branch Collection Information

Annual Christmas Tree Collection and Branch Collection will take place on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

In addition to the Annual Christmas Tree Collection, due to the high winds on Monday, January 12, 2026, the Town will be assisting residents with clean- up of branches/tree limbs.

Residents are asked to please contact the Town office at 709-596-3831 & provide your name & civic address for collection.  Deadline is 4:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2026

Christmas trees and bundled branches/tree limbs must be placed curbside by 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026 by those registered for collection.

For Christmas Tree Collection:

• Trees are to be placed curbside by 8 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
• Natural Christmas trees will be collected only. (Not artificial)
• All tinsel, decorations, wire, lights, and stands must be removed.
• Christmas trees set out in plastic bags will not be collected.

For branches/tree limb collection:

• Tree bundles must be tied in bundles less than 1.5m (4 ft) & less than 20 kg (45 lbs) are to be placed curbside by 8 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2026.
• Residents are asked to please contact the Town office at 596-3831 & provide your name and civic address for collection.
  Deadline: 4:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026 .
• Tree bundles must be placed by curbside by 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026
