WATER CONSERVATION NOTICE
WATER CONSERVATION NOTICE
Due to dry conditions, water levels at the water supply are below normal for this period of time. To ensure that all users of the water system have an adequate water supply throughout the summer months, the Carbonear Council request that exterior use of water should be kept to a minimum to reduce demand before the water level reaches a critical point.
Suggested conservation measures:
- Refrain from using lawn sprinklers (new lawns excepted) – hand watering of lawns with a hose with a shut off nozzle is permitted;
- Hand Water plants in the early morning or in the evening (eg. a watering can or a hose with a shut off nozzle);
- Refrain from washing vehicles and exterior of houses (If necessary, it shall be done with a hose and a shut-off nozzle).
Everyone is asked to work together to protect our water supply. Your continued cooperation and support is appreciated.
