Due to this rating effective Immediately there is a FIRE BAN. This ban is in effect until Tuesday June 3rd at which time it will be reassessed.

This ban includes all areas within the town boundaries and areas that are covered by the Carbonear Fire Department:

Town of Carbonear

Freshwater

Flatrock

Gaddens Mash

English Hill Extension

Gunners Pond

Line Road Cabin Area

Open fires are not permitted. Backyard fires, campfires, fire pits, wood burning appliances, charcoal barbecues, and fireworks are prohibited. The use of propane barbecues and propane fire pits are permitted but please use with caution.
