The Town of Carbonear invite applications for Casual Equipment Operators.

Applicants are advised that these applications are being considered for the weekend shift (16hrs) and on a list for call-in as required for the 2024/2025 Winter season.

The candidate should have the following certifications and experience:

• Minimum of Grade 12 (High School diploma)
• Class 3
• Class 5 Drivers license
• Class 9 (Air Brake endorsement)
• Class 8 (Heavy Equipment Operator)
• Experience operating heavy equipment and dump truck.
• Experience in snow clearing with heavy equipment.
• Experience in snow clearing and sanding with dump truck
• Experience in general maintenance of heavy equipment and dump trucks
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Ability to work alone or with team

 

Compensation will be as per the collective agreement.
