Community Notice: Frozen Water Lines
Meteorologists are warning of an arctic air mass with colder than normal temperatures anticipated this week. Latest forecast indicated a wind chill minus 9 this evening and minus 29 overnight. Risk of frostbite.
These colder temperatures can increase the possibility of frozen or broken water lines. The Town of Carbonear would like to remind all homeowners that it is their responsibility to take necessary precautions to ensure water lines on their property do not freeze, including taking such actions as leaving a tap running until the cold temperatures pass.
