The Town Council of Carbonear is considering an amendment to the Carbonear Municipal Plan and Development Regulations.  In accordance with Section 14 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, Council is seeking input from residents on the proposed amendment.

Council wishes to amend the Municipal Plan to allow childcare centres in areas designated for light industrial uses.  A corresponding amendment to the Development Regulations will add Childcare as a Discretionary Use in the Light Industrial land use zone, subject to conditions.

Residents are requested to notify Council in writing, mail, facsimile or email, by November 25, of any concerns or comments on the proposed amendment.
