 Photo Contest  

Get those cameras clicking and send us your best winter photo taken during 2020. There are three categories: Best Winter Scenery, Best Winter Pet Photo and Best Family Fun Photo. Pictures can be dropped off at the Town Council Office or emailed to [email protected].   Winning Photos will be posted on the Town’s website. No professional photos please. Judging will take place  February 26.  Photos must be pertaining to Carbonear and may be used for promotional purposes throughout the year.

Best Dressed Snowman 

Let’s get creative in the snow. Let those imaginations run wild and start building your SNOWMAN. Upon completion of your work of art, snap a quick picture and send it along to the Council Office or email to [email protected] with your name and address.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place.

Deadline for Photo and Best Dressed Snowman Contest – February 26 @ 2pm.

15th Annual Youth to Teen Art

Celebrating our Visual Artists.

Primary, Elementary &  Teen Divisions.  Please drop off Artwork to the Town Office. Deadline February 20th.  Selected Art will be on display at the Conception Bay Regional Community Centre during  Winter Carnival week. Prizes will be awarded during opening ceremony.

Admission at the door: $ 9 Adults, $6 kids(12 & under)

Mixed Dart Tournament,

Royal Canadian Legion

4 player teams, 2 male and 2 female. $40 per team. Limited to the first 14 teams registered.

 Starting at 11 amSnowshoe / Walk the Trail”   Conditions permitting.  Starting at Tilley Place to Milton’s Bridge (approx 30-40 minutes). Parking is available at the end of Forest Road.   Bring your own snowshoes or just come to walk it.  There will be a limited number of adult snow shoes available.

12-2 pm                            Haven Massage & Spa celebrates the grand opening of the Wellness Centre. They are offering Free Paraffin Dip Treatments to warm up  winter hands.

Pink Shirt Day, or AntiBullying Day, is on February 26. It is a day when people come together by wearing pink shirts to school or work to show they are against bullying. The focus for 2020 is “lift each other up.”
