Carbonear Community Composting Initiative

Carbonear Green Team Community Initiative:

We strive to aid our Town in minimizing organic material entering our landfills that could otherwise be composted. To accomplish this, we are hosting a community composting initiative to make composting easy, clean, and affordable.

Residential subscribers sign up online, and within one week, receive a starter kit that includes source separation training materials (i.e., flyers) and a 5-gallon collection bin. Residential subscribers are asked to drop off buckets once a week, leave their bin at the Community Garden site and students will dump compostable material and clean out bins for return.
