Town of Carbonear - World Cup of Tiddly

Third Annual
August 1st, 2010
The 2nd Annual Carbonear World Cup of Tiddly was a rousing success, and we are sure the 3rd Annual will be even more successful. . Last year, the number of teams doubled and a Ladies Division and trophy were introduced so as not to embarrass the men.
Team Names have associated with a Carbonear site or event some of the names from last year included: Pondside Potholes, Granny’s Humps, Battery Rockers, Across the Doors, Union Hall Longshoremen, Irishtown Champs, Crocker’s Cove Crackies, The Flings, Aunt Julia’s Brew, McGuire’s Garden, Carbonear General, Bogtrotters (Men & Ladies) and The Gulls. The Scorekeepers/Referees tried to keep the arguing and cheating to a minimum with varying success.
